बीकानेर शहर में जब चुनाव आते हैं, तो सभी पार्टियों के स्थानीय नेताओं द्वारा वादों का बड़ा दावा किया जाता है। लेकिन एक बार चुनाव बीत जाने के बाद, यह वादे भूल जाते हैं। बीकानेर पश्चिम में भी इसी प्रकार के वादों को लेकर चुनाव में नेताओं द्वारा जनता को लुभाया जाता है, लेकिन शहर की असलियत एक अलग कहानी कह रही है।

बीकानेर की गंगाशहर पुलिस ने कल एक मोबाइल और चेन चोरी करने वाली गैंग को पकड़ा है, जिसमें 7 लोग शामिल थे। इन लोगों ने कुल 30 वारदातों को किया है। इस गैंग के टारगेट में पैदल चलती महिलाएं शामिल थीं, जिनकी गले से सोने की चेन या मोबाइल छीन लिया जाता था। इस गैंग का मुखिया गोगागेट के राहुल नायक है, जिसके खिलाफ पहले भी केस दर्ज है। साथ ही इस गैंग में आसिफ रजा, रियासत अली, हमीद और अन्य भी शामिल हैं। इन लोगों ने जोधपुर और बिहार में मोबाइल को सस्ते दामों पर बेचने का काम किया था।

पिछले 3 महीनों में बीकानेर सिटी के कुछ अंदरूनी क्षेत्रों में ऐसी कई वारदातें हो चुकी हैं, जिसमें अपराधी अब तक पकड़े गए नहीं हैं। इसके अलावा, घरों में चोरियाँ और बाइक चोरी की भी वारदातें बढ़ रही हैं। इन अपराधियों द्वारा घरों के बाहर खड़ी बाइकों और अस्पतालों के पास खड़ी बाइकों को अदुर्लभ सामान के लिए लूटा जाता है। इस प्रकार की घटनाओं के वीडियो भी सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहे हैं, लेकिन अब तक पुलिस ने इन अपराधियों को पकड़ने में सफलता नहीं प्राप्त की है।

बीकानेर, जो कभी शादियों के सीज़न में रात को भी लोग खुले मन से सोने के गहने पहनकर सड़कों पर निकलते थे, आज वहाँ का माहौल कुछ और ही है। यह क्या हो गया है, यह बहुत सोचने वाला प्रश्न है।?
