राजस्थान के विधायक और कांग्रेस के स्तरीय नेता सचिन पायलट ने टिकट न मिलने पर बैकफुट पर आने को लेकर जवाब दिया। उन्होंने कहा, "राजस्थान की जनता से मेरा रिश्ता आखरी सांस तक का है। कौन चुनाव लड़ेगा, कौन नहीं लड़ेगा, इसका निर्णय अखिल भारतीय कांग्रेस कमेटी (AICC) के अध्यक्ष और सेंट्रल इलेक्शन कमेटी लेती है। वहीं से सबको अलग-अलग जिम्मेदारी मिलती है। जो 10 नाम की लिस्ट आई है, वह युवा और जिताऊ उम्मीदवार हैं।"

इसके अलावा, पायलट ने बताया कि उन्होंने पहले ही अपने लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ने का फैसला कांग्रेस पार्टी पर छोड़ दिया था। वे आगे बढ़कर कहा, "हरियाणा में एक मौजूदा लोकसभा सांसद बीजेपी छोड़कर कांग्रेस में शामिल हो गए। राजस्थान में भी एक मौजूदा लोकसभा सांसद बीजेपी छोड़कर कांग्रेस में शामिल हो गए। इसलिए, मौजूदा विधायक और सांसद हमारे पास आ रहे हैं।"

वे आगे बताते हैं, "जो लोग कांग्रेस की विचारधारा को स्वीकार कर रहे हैं और हमारे नेतृत्व पर भरोसा जता रहे हैं, उनका पार्टी में स्वागत किया जा रहा है और उन्हें मौका दिया जा रहा है।"

इस दौरान, उन्होंने बीजेपी पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा, "यह पुराना कानून था और इसे आदर्श आचार संहिता लागू होने से ठीक पहले लाया गया है। मुझे खुशी होती अगर सरकार एमएसपी पर कानून लाती या रोजगार से जुड़ा कानून लाती।"

Rajasthan MLA and Congress level leader Sachin Pilot responded by coming on the back foot after not getting the ticket. He said, "My relationship with the people of Rajasthan is till my last breath. The decision of who will contest the elections and who will not is taken by the President of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and the Central Election Committee. From there everyone gets different responsibilities. The list of 10 names that has come are young and winning candidates."

Furthermore, Pilot informed that he had already left the decision of contesting his Lok Sabha elections to the Congress party. He went on to say, "In Haryana, a sitting Lok Sabha MP left BJP and joined Congress. In Rajasthan too, a sitting Lok Sabha MP left BJP and joined Congress. So, sitting MLAs and MPs are coming to us."

He further explains, "Those who are accepting the ideology of Congress and expressing confidence in our leadership are being welcomed into the party and are being given opportunities."

During this, he targeted the BJP and said, "This was an old law and it was brought just before the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct. I would have been happy if the government had brought a law on MSP or a law related to employment."
