श्रीगंगानगर जिले के श्रीकरणपुर के वार्ड 19 में गुरुवार को महिला के सुसाइड करने के मामले में शुक्रवार को पीहर पक्ष ने ससुराल पक्ष के खिलाफ परेशान करने और मारपीट करने का आरोप लगाते हुए मामला दर्ज करवा दिया। महिला की मां का कहना है कि ससुराल पक्ष के लोग महिला को लगातार परेशान कर रहे थे। इसी के चलते महिला ने सुसाइड कर लिया। मामले की जांच सीओ एससी एसटी को दी गई है।

वार्ड 19 की महिला पायल पत्नी मंगेश वाल्मीकि ने गुरुवार शाम अपने घर के ऊपर बने कमरे में जाकर फंदा लगाकर जान दे दी थी। घटना के समय पायल का ससुर, पति और दो बेटियां घर पर थीं। उसने देर शाम ससुर को चाय दी और इसके बाद ऊपर बने कमरे में चली गई। वहां उसने फंदा लगाकर जान दे दी।

 जब देर तक उसके कमरे से कोई आवाज नहीं आई तो परिवार के लोगों ने ऊपर जाकर देखा। मौके पर पायल का शव फंदे पर लटका मिला। रात को शव सरकारी अस्पताल की मोर्च्यूरी में रखवा दिया गया। शुक्रवार को रायसिंहनगर से पीहर पक्ष के श्रीकरणपुर पहुंचने पर उन्होंने मामला दर्ज करवाया। इसमें कहा गया है कि ससुराल पक्ष के लोग पायल को मारपीट कर परेशान करते थे। इस पर पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।

Ward 19 woman Payal, wife of Mangesh Valmiki, committed suicide by hanging herself in the upstairs room of her house on Thursday evening. Payal's father-in-law, husband and two daughters were at home at the time of the incident. She gave tea to her father-in-law late in the evening and then went to the room upstairs. There he committed suicide by hanging himself.

When no sound came from his room for a long time, the family members went upstairs and looked. Payal's body was found hanging on the spot. The body was kept in the mortuary of the government hospital at night. When Pehar Paksha reached Shrikaranpur from Raisinghnagar on Friday, they registered a case. It is said that the in-laws used to harass Payal by beating her. Police have registered a case on this and started investigation.
