सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने भले ही समलैंगिक विवाह को मान्यता देने से इंकार कर दिया हो परन्तु सूबे की पहला समलैंगिक विवाह आज होगा। विवाह को गुप्त तरीके से आयोजित किया गया है। विवाह के कार्ड भी वेबसाइट के जरिए वितरित किए गये है। जानकारी के अनुसार झीलों की नगरी उदयपुर शाही शादियों और डेस्टिनेशन वेडिंग के लिए देश-विदेश में प्रसिद्ध है. 

लेकिन अब उदयपुर एक अनूठी शादी का गवाह बनने जा रहा है. इस बार ये वेडिंग समलैंगिक जोड़ों के बीच है. समलैंगिक जोड़ों के बीच देवउठनी ग्यारस पर लग्जरी होटल जस्ता राजपुताना रिसोर्ट में शाही अंदाज में ये शादी की रस्में शुरू हुई हैं. गुरुवार को मेहंदी, संगीत और अंगूठी की रस्में हुईं. वहीं आज शादी होनी है. 

शादी को रखा गया बेहद गोपनीय
समलैंगिक विवाह करने वाला यह जोड़ा अमेरिका में एक साथ नौकरी करता है. इनमें से एक युवक एनआरआई है और दूसरा युवक अमेरिकी नागरिक है. इन दोनों युवकों ने जीवनभर साथ रहकर जीवन यापन करने का फैसला किया है. इस शादी को बेहद गोपनीय रखा गया है. शादी के कार्ड वेबसाइट के जरिए भेजे गए हैं. इस अनूठी शादी में देश-विदेश से 100 से अधिक मेहमानों के शामिल होने की संभावना जताई जा रही है. 

हिंदू विवाह की परंपराओं से निमंत्रण

इस मामले में याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने फैसले में समलैंगिक विवाह को कानूनी तौर पर मान्यता देने से इनकार कर दिया था. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने फैसले में कहा था कि कानून बनाने का काम संसद और विधानसभाओं का है. न्यायालय ने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया कि समलैंगिक व्यक्तियों को अपना साथी चुनने का अधिकार है. भारत में, इस प्रकार के विवाह को कानून के साथ-साथ समाज द्वारा भी मान्यत नहीं दी जाती है.
