आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले नरेंद्र मोदी एक बार फिर से प्रधानमंत्री पद के सबसे पसंदीदा चेहरा बने हुए हैं। एक सर्वे में ये बात कही गई है। ऐसे में सवाल उठता है कि मोदी के बाद पीएम पद के लिए सबसे पसंदीदा व्यक्ति कौन? दरअसल भारतीय जनता पार्टी पिछले दोनों चुनाव नरेंद्र मोदी के चहरे पर लड़ती आ रही हैं और तीसरा चुनाव भी उन्हीं के चेहरे पर लड़ा जाएगा। लेकिन विपक्ष ने पीएम पद के लिए अपना चेहरा घोषित नहीं किया।

नेटवर्क18 के एक मेगा ओपिनियन पोल में कहा गया है कि सर्वे में शामिल 59 फीसदी लोगों ने माना कि प्रधानमंत्री पद के लिए सबसे सक्षम चेहरा फिलहाल नरेंद्र मोदी हैं। हालांकि दूसरे नंबर कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी हैं। सर्वे के मुताबिक 21 फीसदी लोगों ने पीएम पद के लिए राहुल गांधी को सबसे उपयुक्त चेहरा हैं। इस मामले में राहुल की लोकप्रियता मोदी से 38 फीसदी कम है। 
वहीं सर्वे में शामिल 9 फीसदी लोगों ने माना कि तृणमूल कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ममता बनर्जी और आम आदमी पार्टी के संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल पीएम पद के लिए सक्षम व्यक्ति हैं। मेगा ओपिनियन पोल में 21 प्रमुख राज्यों के 518 लोकसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों को शामिल करते हुए एक व्यापक सर्वेक्षण किया गया। 12 फरवरी से 1 मार्च तक किए गए सर्वे में भारत के 21 प्रमुख राज्यों को शामिल किया गया। यानी कुल मिलाकर 95 फीसदी लोकसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में ये सर्वे किया गया। 

ओपिनियन पोल के अनुसार, राजनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण 80 लोकसभा सीटों वाला उत्तर प्रदेश भारतीय जनता पार्टी के नेतृत्व वाले राष्ट्रीय जनतांत्रिक गठबंधन के लिए "कारगर" साबित हो सकता है। एनडीए को यूपी में 77 सीटें मिलने का अनुमान है। वहीं विपक्षी इंडिया गठबंधन केवल 2 सीटों पर सिमट सकता है, जबकि मायावती की बहुजन समाज पार्टी एक सीट जीत सकती है।

बता दें कि इस बीच भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) ने आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए 72 उम्मीदवारों की दूसरी सूची बुधवार को जारी कर दी, जिसमें केंद्रीय मंत्री नितिन गडकरी, पीयूष गोयल और अनुराग सिंह ठाकुर तथा हरियाणा के मनोहर लाल खट्टर सहित तीन पूर्व मुख्यमंत्रियों के नाम शामिल हैं। पार्टी ने दो पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल निशंक और सदानंद गौड़ा के टिकट काट दिए हैं। खट्टर और गोयल क्रमश: हरियाणा के करनाल और मुंबई उत्तर से लोकसभा चुनाव में पदार्पण करेंगे। कर्नाटक के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री बसवराज बोम्मई हावेरी से और उत्तराखंड के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत हरिद्वार से चुनाव लड़ेंगे।

According to opinion polls, politically important Uttar Pradesh, with 80 Lok Sabha seats, could prove "workable" for the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance. NDA is expected to get 77 seats in UP. The opposition India Alliance may be limited to only 2 seats, while Mayawati's Bahujan Samaj Party may win one seat.
