हर साल लाखों कैंडिडेट्स आईआईटी जेईई में शामिल होते हैं. देश भर में इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी (आईआईटी) में एडमिशन पाने के लिए कैंडिडे्टस का चयन करने के लिए जेईई आयोजित किया जाता है. लाखों कैंडिडेट्स में से केवल कुछ हजार ही परीक्षा पास कर पाते हैं. कुछ उम्मीदवारों को परीक्षा में सफल होने के लिए कई प्रयास भी करने पड़ते हैं.

आइए आज बात करते हैं उस शख्स के बारे में जिसने महज 13 साल की उम्र में आईआईटी के लिए एंट्रेस टेस्ट पास कर लिया. सत्यम कुमार 2012 में ऑल इंडिया रैंक (एआईआर) 670 के साथ आईआईटी जेईई पास करने वाले सबसे कम उम्र के भारतीय बने. 

सत्यम बिहार के भोजपुर जिले के रहने वाले हैं. वह एक किसान के बेटे हैं. जेईई की तैयारी के लिए वह कोटा, राजस्थान चले गए. सत्यम ने दो बार जेईई क्रैक किया. उन्होंने पहली बार 2011 में जेईई क्रैक किया, उस समय उनकी उम्र केवल 12 साल थी. सत्यम कुमार ने अपने पहले अटेंप्ट में AIR 8137 हासिल किया लेकिन वह अपनी रैंक से खुश नहीं थे.

उन्होंने फिर से आईआईटी जेईई में बैठने का फैसला किया. सत्यम ने अपनी मेहनत जारी रखी और अपना पूरा समय तैयारियों में लगा दिया. उन्होंने 2012 में 13 साल की उम्र में दूसरी बार आईआईटी जेईई की परीक्षा दी. सत्यम की मेहनत रंग लाई और इस बार उन्होंने AIR 670 हासिल की.

इसके बाद, उन्होंने आईआईटी कानपुर में सीट हासिल की. उन्होंने आईआईटी कानपुर से इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग में बीटेक-एमटेक पूरा किया. बाद में वह पीएचडी करने के लिए ऑस्टिन में टेक्सास यूनिर्सिटी चले गए. वह केवल 24 साल के थे जब उन्होंने अपनी पीएचडी पूरी कर ली थी.

पढ़ाई के बाद उन्होंने Apple में मशीन लर्निंग इंटर्न के रूप में काम करना शुरू किया, जहां उनके लिंक्डइन पेज के मुताबिक, उन्होंने चार महीने तक काम किया. वह वर्तमान में टेक्सास यूनिवर्सिटी में ग्रेजुएट रिसर्च असिस्टेंट हैं.

Every year lakhs of candidates appear in IIT JEE. JEE is conducted to select candidates for admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country. Out of lakhs of candidates, only a few thousand are able to pass the examination. Some candidates have to make many attempts to succeed in the examination.

Let us talk today about the person who passed the entrance test for IIT at the age of just 13. Satyam Kumar became the youngest Indian to crack IIT JEE in 2012 with an All India Rank (AIR) of 670.

Satyam is a resident of Bhojpur district of Bihar. He is the son of a farmer. He went to Kota, Rajasthan to prepare for JEE. Satyam cracked JEE twice. He cracked JEE for the first time in 2011, when he was only 12 years old. Satyam Kumar secured AIR 8137 in his first attempt but he was not happy with his rank.

He decided to appear for IIT JEE again. Satyam continued his hard work and devoted all his time to preparations. He appeared for the IIT JEE exam for the second time in 2012 at the age of 13. Satyam's hard work paid off and this time he secured AIR 670.

After this, he secured a seat in IIT Kanpur. He completed B.Tech-M.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. He later went to the University of Texas at Austin to pursue a PhD. He was only 24 years old when he completed his PhD.

After his studies, he started working as a machine learning intern at Apple, where according to his LinkedIn page, he worked for four months. He is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas.
