बेटा उड़ीसा में मजदूरी करता है, बुजुर्ग पिता ने अपनी पत्नी से कहा था कि बहू पर नजर रखना। इसी बात को लेकर पति पत्नी में शनिवार सुबह चाय पीते बहस हुई। गुस्साए पति ने तलवार से पत्नी पर जोरदार 2 वार किए। पहले वार में पत्नी ने बचाव में हाथ उठाया तो कलाई के पास से हथेली अलग होकर बिस्तर पर गिरी, चूड़ियां बिखर गईं। दूसरा प्रहार सिर पर किया तो आधा सिर कट गया। महिला की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।

मामला जोधपुर के लोहावट थाना इलाके का है। लोहावट निवासी आरोपी अर्जुन राम (62) को पुलिस ने शनिवार दोपहर गिरफ्तार कर लिया। घटना की सूचना रिश्तेदारों को दे दी गई है। शव को लोहावट हॉस्पिटल की मॉर्च्युरी में रखवाया गया है।

हाथ कटकर अलग हुआ
मतोड़ा थाना एसएचओ अचलाराम ढाका ने बताया- अर्जुन राम ने शुक्रवार सुबह 7.30 बजे पत्नी शांति (57) पर तलवार से हमला कर दिया। शांति का हाथ कटकर अलग हो गया। पहली नजर में यही लगता है कि चाय पीने के दौरान पति पत्नी में बहस हुई।

गुस्से में अर्जुन राम पत्नी पर ताबड़तोड़ वार करता रहा। एक वार हाथ पर और दूसरा सिर पर किया। महिला का शव बिस्तर पर मिला। वह दीवार की तरफ चारपाई से लटकी हुई हालत में थी। चारपाई के नीचे खून फैला था। बिस्तर में कटा हुआ हाथ पड़ा था। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही आरोपी को पकड़ लिया।

बहु पर नजर रखने की बात पर हुआ झगड़ा
प्राथमिक जानकारी में सामने आया कि अर्जुन राम का बेटा उड़ीसा में मजदूरी करता है। बेटे की पत्नी लोहावट स्थित घर में सास-ससुर के साथ ही रहती है। अर्जुन को बहू पर शक था। वह पत्नी से कहता था कि बहू पर नजर रखा करें। घर में ज्यादातर समय सास और बहू ही रहा करती थीं। अर्जुन खुद खेती किसानी करता था। शुक्रवार रात भी अर्जुन राम और शांति के बीच इसी बात को लेकर बहस हुई थी। शनिवार सुबह फिर से बहस हुई तो गुस्से में अर्जुन राम ने इस वारदात को अंजाम दिया।

The matter is of Lohawat police station area of Jodhpur. The accused Arjun Ram (62), resident of Lohawat, was arrested by the police on Saturday afternoon. Relatives have been informed about the incident. The body has been kept in the mortuary of Lohawat Hospital.

There was blood spread under the cot. A severed hand was lying in the bed. As soon as information about the incident was received, the accused was caught.

There was a fight over keeping an eye on the daughter-in-law
Preliminary information revealed that Arjun Ram's son works as a laborer in Orissa. The son's wife lives with her in-laws in the house located in Lohawat. Arjun was suspicious of his daughter-in-law. He used to tell his wife to keep an eye on her daughter-in-law. Mother-in-law and daughter-in-law used to stay in the house most of the time. Arjun himself used to do farming. There was an argument between Arjun Ram and Shanti on the same issue on Friday night also. When there was an argument again on Saturday morning, Arjun Ram committed this crime in anger.
