क्या है करवा चौथ की सरगी?
सरगी के जरिए सास अपनी बहू को सुहाग का आशीर्वाद देती है. सरगी की थाल में 16 श्रृंगार की सभी समाग्री, मेवा, फल, मिष्ठान आदि होते हैं. सरगी में रखे गए व्यंजनों को ग्रहण करके ही इस व्रत का आरंभ किया जाता है. सास न हो तो जेठानी या बहन के जरिए भी ये रस्म निभा सकती हैं.

सरगी के सेवन का मुहूर्त
करवा चौथ व्रत वाले दिन सरगी सूर्योदय से पूर्व 4-5 बजे के करीब कर लेना चाहिए. सरगी में भूलकर भी तेल मसाले वाली चीजों को ग्रहण न करें. इससे व्रत का फल नहीं मिलता है. ब्रह्म मुहूर्त में सरगी का सेवन अच्छा माना जाता है.

करवा चौथ शुभ मुहूर्त
करवा चौथ का व्रत 1 नवंबर दिन बुधवार को रखा जाएगा. करवा चौथ की पूजा का शुभ मुहूर्त शाम 5.36 बजे से लेकर शाम 6.54 बजे तक रहेगा. यानी करवा चौथ पूजन के लिए आपको सिर्फ 1 घंटा 18 मिनट का ही समय मिलने वाला है. इस दिन चंद्रोदय का समय रात 8 बजकर 15 मिनट बताया जा रहा है.

करवा चौथ व्रत विधि
करवा चौथ के दिन स्नान आदि के बाद करवा चौथ व्रत और चौथ माता की पूजा का संकल्प लेते हैं. फिर अखंड सौभाग्य के लिए निर्जला व्रत रखा जाता है. पूजा के लिए 16 श्रृंगार करते हैं. फिर पूजा के मुहूर्त में चौथ माता या मां गौरी और गणेश जी की विधि विधान से पूजा करते हैं. पूजा के समय उनको गंगाजल, नैवेद्य, धूप-दीप, अक्षत्, रोली, फूल, पंचामृत आदि अर्पित करते हैं. दोनों को श्रद्धापूर्वक फल और हलवा-पूरी का भोग लगाते हैं. इसके बाद चंद्रमा के उदय होने पर अर्घ्य देते हैं और उसके बाद पति के हाथों जल ग्रहण करके व्रत का पारण करते हैं
