नागौर: मेड़ता नगर पालिका की गुरुवार को हुई बैठक में हंगामा मच गया। इस घटना के दौरान, भाजपा पार्षदों ने पालिकाध्यक्ष पर भ्रष्टाचार का आरोप लगाया और विपक्षी पार्षदों ने उनसे पुराने फाइलों की मांग की।

बैठक की शुरुआत पर ही भाजपा पार्षदों ने हंगामा किया, जिसमें एक महिला पार्षद ने चेयरमैन पर चप्पल फेंक दी और एक अन्य पार्षद ने हाथापाई की। इसके परंतु, चेयरमैन ने भी पार्षद पर माइक मारने का प्रयास किया।

गुरुवार की बैठक में भाजपा समर्थित निर्दलीय पार्षद शोभा लाहोटी ने पिछली बैठक के प्रस्तावों और कामों की फाइल दिखाने की मांग की। इस पर चेयरमैन ने उनको ठुकराया, जिससे हंगामा बढ़ गया। पार्षद लाहोटी ने अभद्र टिप्पणी करके चेयरमैन पर चप्पल फेंकी, जिससे माहौल गरमा गया। इसी बीच पार्षद मोहित निंबावत ने चेयरमैन की तरफ गए और माला मारी।

विधायक लक्ष्मण राम कलरू ने मुद्दे को सुलझाने की कोशिश की, कहते हैं, "हमने विकास के मुद्दे उठाए थे और पुरानी फाइलें मांगी थीं।" लेकिन चेयरमैन ने बैठक को स्थगित कर दिया। दोबारा बैठक हुई, लेकिन वहां भी हंगामा बढ़ गया और बैठक स्थगित हो गई।

नगरपालिका के ईओ जितेंद्र सिंह ने बताया कि मुद्दों के लिए पक्ष-विपक्ष के बीच हंगामा शुरू हो गया था और बैठक एक घंटे के लिए स्थगित कर दी गई थी। पालिकाध्यक्ष ने विपक्ष से 7 दिनों के भीतर फिर से बैठक करने की मांग की है, और यदि ऐसा नहीं होता है तो बहुमत के आधार पर कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष का चयन किया जाएगा।

In Thursday's meeting, BJP-backed independent councilor Shobha Lahoti demanded to show the file of proposals and works of the previous meeting. On this the Chairman rejected him, due to which the uproar increased. Councilor Lahoti made indecent remarks and threw slippers at the Chairman, which heated up the atmosphere. Meanwhile, councilor Mohit Nimbawat went towards the chairman and garlanded him.

MLA Laxman Ram Kalru tried to resolve the issue, saying, "We had raised development issues and asked for old files." But the chairman adjourned the meeting. The meeting was held again, but there too the commotion increased and the meeting was adjourned.

Municipal EO Jitendra Singh said that an uproar had started between the party and the opposition over the issues and the meeting was adjourned for an hour. The Municipal President has demanded the opposition to meet again within 7 days, and if it does not happen then the working president will be selected on the basis of majority.
