पंजाब और कनाड़ा की दूरी दस हजार किलोमीटर से भी ज्यादा है। लेकिन नियति का खेल ही कहिए कि इतनी दूर से भी मौत खींच लाई। पांच साल से कनाड़ा में रह रहा युवक जब वापस अपने गांव लौटा, उसकी शादी कराई गई और वह जल्द ही वापस लौटने वाला था। लेकिन लौटने से पहले उसकी, उसकी पत्नी समेत चार को बेहद दर्दनाक मौत मिली। परिवार गंगानगर जिले के नजदीक ही स्थित अनूपगढ़ जिले का रहने वाला है। हादसा पंजाब के मोगा इलाके में होना सामने आया है।

दरअसल मूल रूप से अनूपगढ़ जिले के रामगंज मंडी का रहने वाला परिवार पंजाब के मोगा इलाके में अपने किसी रिश्तेदार की शादी में शामिल होने गया था। कल दोपहर मोगा इलाके में पास से गुजर रहे पत्थरों से भरे एक ट्रक का का टायर फट गया और वह ट्रक पत्थरों समेत कार पर पलट गया। कार में सोहावत सिंह, उनकी नई दुल्हन लवप्री, भाई कर्मवीर और भाई की पत्नी मनप्रीत थे। साथ ही मनप्रीत की पांच साल की बच्ची नवनीत भी कार में ही थी। अचानक धमाके से ट्रक पलट गया। बच्ची शीशे के नजदीक ही बैठी थी। वह कार से बाहर आ गिरी। बाकि दोनो भाई और उनकी पत्नियों की हड्डियां तक चूर चूर हो गई।

आज अनूपगढ़ में कई बाजार बंद कर दिए गए हैं। शोक पसरा हुआ है। सन्नाटा इतना है कि सिर्फ महिलाओं के रोने की आवाजें सुनाई दे रही हैं। पिता ने एक ही पल में अपने दो जवान बेटे खो दिए हैं। पूरे कस्बे में कोहराम मचा हुआ है।

Sohawat Singh, his new bride Lovepri, brother Karmaveer and brother's wife Manpreet were in the car. Manpreet's five year old daughter Navneet was also in the car. The truck overturned due to the sudden explosion. The girl was sitting near the mirror. She fell out of the car. The remaining two brothers and their wives were shattered to their bones.

Today many markets have been closed in Anupgarh. There is widespread mourning. There is so much silence that only the sounds of women crying can be heard. The father has lost his two young sons in one moment. There is chaos in the entire town.
