राजस्थान के चित्तौडगढ जिले से बड़ी खबर सामने आ रही है। गांव में रहने वाले दर्जनों युवाओं ने सैंकड़ों गायों की जान बचाई है। हाइवे पर तिरपाल से ढके ट्रकों का पीछा किया। खुद की जान जोखिम में डाली, लेकिन गौवंश को बचाने में सफल हो गए। गौ तस्करी की राजस्थान की यह सबसे बड़ी घटना है। एक साथ छह सौ गायों को कत्लखाने ले जाया जा रहा था। तिरपाल से ढके होने के कारण दम घुटने से कई गायों ने पहले ही दम तोड़ दिया। घटना शंभूपुरा थाना इलाके की है। इस पूरे मामले में पुलिस की भी मिली भगत सामने आ रही है।

दरअसल शंभूपुरा इलाके से होते हुए हाइवे पर कुछ ट्रक खडे़ थे। वहां से गुजर रहे एक युवक को ट्रक से गायों की आवाज आई। ऐसी आवाजें आई जैसे गायें बेहद दर्द में थीं। उसने अपने कुछ साथियों को बुलाया। इतने में ट्रक चालकों को शक हो गया तो उन्होनें अपने ट्रक स्टार्ट कर दौड़ाना शुरू कर दिया। कुछ देर में आसपास के गावों के कई लोग मौके पर आ गए। उन्होनें ट्रक चालकों को घेर लिया और हाइवे जाम कर दिया।

तीस ट्रक मौके पर खड़े मिले। बीस ट्रक चालक ट्रक दौड़ा ले गए। उनको करीब पंद्रह किलोमीटर दूरी पर जाकर पकड़ा गया। करीब पचास ट्रकों से छह सौ गौवंश को मुक्त कराया गया है। पुलिस थाने में ट्रकों की लाइन लग गई है। कई ट्रकों के चालक खलासी भाग गए हैं। कुछ के चालकों को अरेस्ट कर लिया गया है।
