लोकसभा चुनावों के दूसरे चरण में 26 अप्रैल को होने वाले मतदान के लिए नामांकन पत्र दाखिल करने के लिए 4 अप्रैल अंतिम तिथि है. बावजूद इसके बांसवाड़ा-डूंगरपुर लोकसभा क्षेत्र के लिए कांग्रेस पार्टी ने अभी तक ना तो प्रत्याशी घोषित किया और ना ही भारत आदिवासी पार्टी से गठबंधन को लेकर कोई घोषणा की है. ऐसे में स्थानीय कांग्रेस नेताओं के लिए परेशानी का सबब बन गया है कि चुनाव लड़ना है या गठबंधन होगा? इसको लेकर आलाकमान ने अभी तक पत्ते नहीं खोले हैं.

स्थानीय नेता गठबंधन के इच्छुक नहीं
आजादी के बाद यह पहली बार होगा कि चुनावी मैदान में कांग्रेस पार्टी का कोई प्रत्याशी खड़ा नहीं होगा और वह भारत आदिवासी पार्टी के लिए यह सीट छोड़ देगी. स्थानीय नेता भले ही इसके लिए इच्छुक नहीं हैं, लेकिन जिस तरह नागौर और सीकर जिले में गठबंधन हुआ है, उससे लगता है कि यहां भी कांग्रेस यहां से प्रत्याशी की घोषणा नहीं करेगी. पिछले दिनों कांग्रेस के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे को लिखे पत्र में एआईसीसी सदस्य दिनेश खोड़निया, बांसवाडा विधायक अर्जुन सिंह बामनिया, घाटोल विधायक नानालाल निनामा, कुशलगढ़ विधायक रमिला खड़िया, खेरवाड़ा विधायक दयाराम परमार, बांसवाड़ा कांग्रेस जिला अध्यक्ष रमेश चंद्र पंड्या, डूंगरपुर कांग्रेस जिला अध्यक्ष वल्लभराम पाटीदार सहित अन्य नेताओं ने कांग्रेस आलाकमान से कहा है कि भविष्य की संभावना को देखते हुए लोकसभा चुनाव के लिए भारत आदिवासी पार्टी से किसी भी तरह का गठबंधन नहीं किया जाना चाहिए.

कभी कांग्रेस का गढ़, अब गठबंधन का आसरा
बांसवाड़ा संसदीय क्षेत्र शुरू से कांग्रेस का गढ़ रहा है. यहां 2019 तक हुए 16 लोकसभा चुनाव में कांग्रेस 11 बार जीती है. 1952 से 1971 तक के लगातार 5 चुनावों में कांग्रेस यहां से जीती.1977 में जनता पार्टी के खाते में यह सीट जाने के बाद 1980, 1984 में दोबारा यहां कांग्रेस का परचम लहराया. 1989 में दोबारा यहां जनता दल की वापसी हुई. 1991 से 1999 तक लगातार चार चुनावों में यहां से कांग्रेस जीती और 2004 में बीजेपी की जीत के बाद 2009 में कांग्रेस के ताराचंद भगौरा यहां से चुनाव जीतकर संसद पहुंचे, लेकिन 2013 के विधानसभा चुनाव और 2014 के आम चुनावों में कांग्रेस के गढ़ होने का मिथक टूट गया.

Banswara parliamentary constituency has been a stronghold of Congress since the beginning. Congress has won 11 times in the 16 Lok Sabha elections held here till 2019.
