राजस्थान का एक-एक शहर भट्टी की तरह तप रहा है । कहीं तापमान 45 डिग्री है तो कहीं 50 को क्रॉस कर गया है । सरकार ने खुद छोटे बच्चों और बुजुर्गों को दोपहर के समय घर से बाहर नहीं निकालने की सीख दी है , लेकिन उसके बावजूद भी राजस्थान के भीलवाड़ा शहर में मात्र डेढ़ साल के बच्चे को इस भीषण गर्मी में पत्थरों के बीच घसीटा गया है । यह सब कुछ एक मान्यता का हिस्सा है । जो भीलवाड़ा के एक विशेष समाज में सैकड़ो सालों से प्रचलन में बताई जा रही है।

इस खतरनाक परंपरा से कई मासूमों की मौत
दरअसल राजस्थान के कुछ शहर जिनमें भीलवाड़ा , बांसवाड़ा , डूंगरपुर , बांद्रा जैसे जिले शामिल हैं। इन जिलों में आदिवासी समुदाय के कई परिवार रहते हैं । आधुनिकता होने के बावजूद भी इन समाजों में प्राचीन काल की परंपराओं का ही निर्वाह किया जा रहा है । कई बार बच्चों को इलाज करने की जगह गर्म सरियों से डाम लगाया जाता है। मानता है इससे बच्चे सही हो जाते हैं, लेकिन इस खतरनाक परंपरा के चलते कई बच्चे जान गवा चुके हैं।

8 इंच के छेद में बच्चे को 7 बार किया आर-पार
अब जो मान्यता है वह छोटे बच्चों के लिए जान का जोखिम बनी हुई है। भीलवाड़ा जिले के मांडल कस्बे में एक जगह है जिसे बिंदिया भाटा कहा जाता है। यहां एक मोटा पत्थर है जिनमें 8 इंच का छेद है । मान्यता है इस छेद में से बच्चे को सात बार आर पार करने के बाद वह पूरे जीवन स्वस्थ रहता है और कुपोषित नहीं होता । यहां शनिवार और रविवार को रेले जैसा माहौल रहता है।

पिता बच्चे को आगे धकेल रहा था तो मां खींच रही थी
इसी जगह पर रविवार को फिर से यही सब देखने को मिला । एक पिता अपने डेढ़ साल के बच्चे के पैर पड़कर उसे आगे धकेल रहे थे और मां उसके हाथ पकड़ कर खींच रही थी। बच्चे को निर्वस्त्र कर इसे 8 इंच के छेद में से सात बार निकाला गया । इस दौरान बच्चा कई बार तपते हुए पत्थर के भी संपर्क में आया । डॉक्टर का कहना है इतनी भीषण गर्मी में इतने छोटे बच्चों को इस तरह से पत्थरों के बीच में ले जाना उसकी जान जोखिम में डाल सकता है । ऐसा बार-बार करने से जान भी जा सकती है।

Many innocent people died due to this dangerous tradition

Despite modernity, ancient traditions are still being followed in these societies. Many times, instead of treating children, they are branded with hot rods. It is believed that this cures children, but many children have lost their lives due to this dangerous tradition.

Child passed through 8 inch hole 7 times
The belief now is that it remains a risk to life for small children. There is a place in Mandal town of Bhilwara district which is called Bindiya Bhata. There is a thick stone here with an 8 inch hole in it. It is believed that after a child is passed through this hole seven times, he remains healthy throughout his life and does not become malnourished. There is a rally like atmosphere here on Saturday and Sunday.

The same thing was seen again at the same place on Sunday. A father was pushing his one-and-a-half year old child forward while his mother was holding his hand and pulling him. The child was stripped and taken out seven times through an 8-inch hole. During this period the child also came in contact with the hot stone several times. The doctor says that taking such small children among the stones in such extreme heat can put their lives at risk. Doing this again and again can even result in death.
