हम हर चीज एक्सपायरी डेट देखकर खरीदते हैं, लेकिन कुछ चीजों के मामले में हम एक्सपायरी डेट की परवाह नहीं करते. इन्हीं में से एक है गैस सिलेंडर. क्या आप जानते हैं कि गैस सिलेंडर की भी एक एक्सपायरी डेट होती है? विश्वास नहीं हो रहा, लेकिन यह सच है. जिस एलपीजी गैस सिलेंडर का इस्तेमाल हम खाना पकाने के लिए करते हैं, उसकी भी एक एक्सपायरी डेट होती है.
सिलेंडर की एक्सपायरी डेट कहां होती है: कई लोग सिलेंडर खरीदते समय सबसे पहले यह देखते हैं कि सिलेंडर से गैस लीक तो नहीं हो रही है. इसके अलावा उसके वजन की भी जांच की जाती है, लेकिन कभी भी सिलेंडर की एक्सपायरी डेट नहीं देखी जाती. हर सिलेंडर के ऊपर उसे पकड़ने के लिए एक गोल हैंडल होता है. उसके लिए, सिलेंडर को तीन प्लेटों द्वारा समर्थित किया गया है. आप देखेंगे कि इन प्लेटों पर अंदर की तरफ नंबर अंकित हैं. इन तीनों में से एक पर सिलेंडर की एक्सपायरी डेट लिखी होगी. इसमें साल और महीने का विवरण है. यह एक अक्षर और एक अंक के रूप में होता है. उदाहरण के लिए A-12, B-23, C-15, D-28.
