साहित्यकार विमला महरिया को विद्या वाचस्पति की उपाधि  

प्रख्यात कवयित्री , साहित्यकार , समाजशास्त्री ,समीक्षक एवं शिक्षाविद् विमला महरिया को मोहन लाल सुखाडिया , विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा उनके द्वारा समाजशास्त्र विषय में किए गये शोध कार्य के लिए विद्या वाचस्पति की उपाधि से विभूषित किया गया है । इस अवसर पर शोध निर्देशिका डॉ० आशा गुप्ता, विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ० पूरनमल यादव, प्रोफेसर राजू सिंह, प्रोफेसर ज्योति उपाध्याय (एक्टर्नल) , डॉ० कामिनी व्यास सहित अन्य विभागीय अधिकारी और शोधार्थी  उपस्थिति रहे ।

उल्लेखनीय है कि विमला महरिया ने डॉ० आशा गुप्ता के निर्देशन में "स्वास्थ्य और सामाजिक विकास में योग की भूमिका : राजस्थान का एक समाजशास्त्रीय अध्ययन विषय पर अपना शोध कार्य पूर्ण किया है । अपने इस शोध में उन्होंने सामाजिक विकास में योग की भूमिका का विशद् अध्ययन किया है जिसमें व्यक्ति द्वारा योग को आत्मसात किये जाने के परिणामस्वरूप होने वाले सकारात्मक प्रभावों और परिणामों का व्यक्तिगत , पारिवारिक , सामाजिक , आर्थिक, सामरिक और पर्यावरणीय और पारिस्थितिकीय रूप में  अनुसंधान किया है ।

महरिया ने अपने शोध प्रबंध में योग को व्यक्ति के शारीरिक और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य में लाभकारी बताते हुए सामाजिक विकास में इसकी आवश्यकता और महत्व को बताया है । उन्होंने बताया कि समाजशास्त्र विषय योग से पूर्णतः अछूता रहा है अतः सामाजिक विकास के लिए वैज्ञानिक आधार पर और वैज्ञानिक दृष्टिकोण से इस प्रकार का शोध अध्ययन करना अत्यावश्यक है क्योंकि भारतीय ज्ञान परम्परा में वैदिक काल से ही योग तथा विज्ञान का सामंजस्य देखने को मिलता है । यही आधारभूत कारण है कि योग का समाजशास्त्रीय दृष्टि से शोध अध्ययन करना अपेक्षित और अनिवार्य है ।

ज्ञातव्य है कि विमला महरिया साहित्य जगत में निरंतर सक्रिय हैं और इनकी लगभग दो दर्जन से अधिक पुस्तकें तथा आधा दर्जन शोध पत्र प्रकाशित हो चुके हैं। अपने बहुआयामी और उपयोगितावादी लेखन क्षमता के कारण विभिन्न राज्य स्तरीय व राष्ट्रीय स्तर की संस्थाओं से सम्मानित हो चुकी हैं ।

Litterateur Vimla Mahariya gets the title of Vidya Vachaspati  

Renowned poet, litterateur, sociologist, critic and educationist Vimala Mahariya has been honored with the title of Vidya Vachaspati by Mohan Lal Sukhadia University for the research work done by her in the subject of sociology. On this occasion, Research Director Dr. Asha Gupta, Head of Department Dr. Puranmal Yadav, Professor Raju Singh, Professor Jyoti Upadhyay (External), Dr. Kamini Vyas and other departmental officers and researchers were present.

It is noteworthy that Vimala Mahariya has completed her research work on the topic "Role of Yoga in Health and Social Development: A Sociological Study of Rajasthan" under the direction of Dr. Asha Gupta. In this research, she has made a detailed study of the role of Yoga in social development. In which the positive effects and consequences resulting from the assimilation of Yoga by an individual have been researched in personal, family, social, economic, strategic and environmental and ecological terms.

In his dissertation, Mahariya has described Yoga as beneficial in the physical and mental health of a person and has explained its need and importance in social development. He told that the subject of sociology has remained completely untouched by yoga, hence for social development, it is necessary to conduct such research study on scientific basis and from scientific point of view because the harmony of yoga and science has been seen in the Indian knowledge tradition since the Vedic period. This is the basic reason why research study of Yoga from sociological point of view is expected and mandatory.

It is known that Vimala Mahariya is continuously active in the literary world and more than two dozen of her books and half a dozen research papers have been published. Due to her multidimensional and utilitarian writing ability, she has been honored by various state level and national level institutions.
