राजस्थान में इन दिनों एक अजीब बीमारी तेजी से फैल रही है। यह बीमारी पहले बच्चों को निशाना बनाती थी जबकि अब बड़ों को भी चपेट में ले रही है। यह बीमारी मंप्स रोग है, जिसका संक्रमण इन दिनों ज्यादा फैल रहा है। मंप्स के चलते प्रदेश के 6 लोगों की सुनने की क्षमता पूरी तरह खत्म हो चुकी है यानी मरीज बहरेपन के शिकार हो गए हैं। पिछले कुछ साल में हजारों मरीजों में कुछ ही मरीज मंप्स के शिकार होते थे लेकिन इन दिनों मरीजों की संख्या में अचानक बढोतरी हुई है। मंप्स की रोकथाम के लिए राज्य सरकार ने अब गाइड लाइन जारी की है।
मंप्स रोग पर नियंत्रण के लिए गाइडलाइन जारी
संक्रामक रोक मंप्स पर नियंत्रण और रोकथाम के लिए अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव शुभ्रा सिंह के निर्देश पर चिकित्सा विभाग ने गाइडलाइन जारी की है। इस गाइड लाइन के मुताबिक मम्पस रोग संक्रमण के लक्षण रोगी के सम्पर्क में आने के बाद 2 से 3 सप्ताह में प्रकट होते हैं और 10 से 14 दिनों तक रोगी को प्रभावित करते हैं। इस रोग के होने पर मरीज के अंडकोष, स्तन, मस्तिष्क, अंडाशय, अग्नाशय, रीढ़ की हड्डी में सूजन हो सकती है। साथ ही, असाधारण स्थितियों में कुछ दुर्लभ केसेज में बहरापन की स्थिति भी उत्पन्न हो सकती है। ऐसे मरीजों को अन्य व्यक्तियों से दूरी बनाए रखने और घर पर आराम करने की अपील की है।
सभी सीएमएचओ से एहतियात बरतने के निर्देश
जनस्वास्थ्य विभाग के निदेशक डॉ. रवि प्रकाश माथुर का कहना है कि सभी जिलों के मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारियों (सीएमएचओ) और प्रमुख चिकित्सा अधिकारियों को गाइडलाइन के तहत आवश्यक कार्यवाही सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश जारी किये हैं। डॉ. माथुर ने बताया कि मम्पस एक संक्रामक रोग है जो कि संक्रमित व्यक्ति के खांसने और छींकते समय कोई अन्य व्यक्ति संपर्क में आया तो यह रोग आगे फैल जाता है। मम्पस संक्रमण के लक्षणों की समय पर पहचान करने के साथ ही बचाव के लिए डॉक्टर से उपचार और परामर्श लेने की अपील की गई है।
ये लक्षण नजर आएं तो तुरंत डॉक्टर को दिखाएं
निदेशक जनस्वास्थ्य ने बताया कि मम्पस संक्रमण के मुख्य लक्षणों में गले में लार ग्रंथि में 1 से 3 दिनों तक दर्द, सूजन साथ ही मांसपेशियों में दर्द, सूजन और भूख में कमी होना शामिल हैं। इन लक्षणों के महसूस होते ही मरीज को तुरंत नजदीकी चिकित्सालय में उपचार परामर्श लेना चाहिए। डॉ. रवि प्रकाश माथुर ने बताया कि मम्पस संक्रमण से बचाव के लिए एक स्वस्थ व्यक्ति को ऐसे लक्षणों वाले व्यक्ति से उचित दूरी बनाए रखना आवश्यक है।

These days a strange disease is spreading rapidly in Rajasthan. This disease used to target children earlier but now it is affecting adults also. This disease is mumps disease, whose infection is spreading more these days. Due to mumps, the hearing ability of 6 people of the state has been completely lost i.e. the patients have become victims of deafness. In the last few years, out of thousands of patients, only a few patients became victims of mumps, but these days there has been a sudden increase in the number of patients. The state government has now issued guidelines for the prevention of mumps.
Guidelines issued to control mumps disease
On the instructions of Additional Chief Secretary Shubhra Singh, the Medical Department has issued guidelines for control and prevention of infectious mumps. According to this guideline, symptoms of mumps disease infection appear within 2 to 3 weeks after coming in contact with the patient and affect the patient for 10 to 14 days. Due to this disease, the patient may have swelling in his testicles, breasts, brain, ovaries, pancreas and spinal cord. Additionally, in some rare cases, deafness may also occur. Such patients have been appealed to maintain distance from other persons and rest at home.
Instructions from all CMHOs to take precautions
Director of Public Health Department, Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur says that instructions have been issued to the Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHO) and Chief Medical Officers of all the districts to ensure necessary action as per the guidelines. Dr. Mathur said that mumps is an infectious disease which spreads further if the infected person comes in contact with another person while coughing or sneezing. An appeal has been made to timely identify the symptoms of mumps infection as well as seek treatment and consultation from a doctor for prevention.
If these symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately
Director of Public Health said that the main symptoms of mumps infection include pain and swelling in the salivary gland in the throat for 1 to 3 days as well as muscle pain, swelling and loss of appetite. As soon as these symptoms are felt, the patient should immediately seek treatment and consultation in the nearest hospital. Dr. Ravi Prakash Mathur said that to prevent mumps infection, it is necessary for a healthy person to maintain proper distance from a person with such symptoms.
