हाई कोर्ट ने केजरीवाल को गिरफ्तारी से अंतरिम राहत देने से मना कर दिया था. थोड़ी ही देर बाद केजरीवाल को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया.

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल (Arvind Kejriwal Arrest) को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया है. उन्हें प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने नई आबकारी नीति मामले में गिरफ्तार किया गया. दिल्ली सरकार पर आरोप लगे थे कि नई एक्साइज़ पॉलिसी की आड़ में भ्रष्टाचार किया गया है. जिसे शराब घोटाला भी कहा गया. केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी के साथ इस केस में दिल्ली सरकार के पदों पर बैठे दो शीर्ष नेताओं को कानूनी चंगुल में फंस गए हैं.

ED की टीम आज, 21 मार्च को शाम दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री के घर पहुंची. साथ में दिल्ली पुलिस फोर्स भी थी. इस पूरे घटनाक्रम से कुछ ही देर पहले दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने केजरीवाल की गिरफ्तारी पर रोक नहीं लगाई थी. उनकी तरफ से हाई कोर्ट में ये याचिका दायर की थी कि अगर वो ED के सामने पेश होंगे तो उन्हें गिरफ्तार ना किया जाए. कोर्ट ने ऐसी कोई श्योरिटी नहीं दी, उनकी गिरफ्तारी पर रोक नहीं लगाई.

The High Court had refused to grant Kejriwal interim relief from arrest. Kejriwal was arrested shortly after.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the new excise policy case. The Delhi government was accused of corruption under the guise of the new excise policy. Which was also called a liquor scam. With Kejriwal's arrest, two top leaders holding positions in the Delhi government have been caught in the legal clutches in this case.

The ED team reached the Delhi Chief Minister's house today, March 21, in the evening. The Delhi Police Force was also with them. Shortly before this entire incident, the Delhi High Court did not stop Kejriwal's arrest. A petition was filed on his behalf in the High Court that if he appears before the ED, he should not be arrested. The court did not give any such assurance, did not stop his arrest.
