प्रोएक्टिव बैन के अलावा, वॉट्सऐप को भारत में यूजर्स से इसके आधिकारिक शिकायत चैनलों के जरिए 9,474 शिकायत रिपोर्ट्स मिलीं। हालांकि, इन शिकायतों के आधार पर केवल 239 अकाउंट्स पर कार्रवाई की गई। बैन अपील्स ने सबसे ज्यादा रिपोर्ट्स (4,212) का हिस्सा बनाया, जिनमें से 111 अकाउंट्स को रिव्यू के बाद बहाल किया गया।

WhatsApp has implemented strict policies to prevent scams and fraudulent activities on the messaging platform. In the latest monthly report, this instant messaging platform owned by Meta has banned more than 99 lakh accounts in India between January 1 and January 30. The report states that out of all the banned accounts, 13.27 lakh accounts were banned proactively even before receiving user reports.

Apart from proactive bans, WhatsApp received 9,474 complaint reports from users in India through its official complaint channels. Use group controls wisely. Group admins can restrict messaging to prevent spam and maintain order.
