बीकानेर जिले में पिछले कुछ समय से चोरी की घटनाओं में लगातार वृद्धि देखी जा रही है, जिससे आमजन में भय और असुरक्षा की भावना बढ़ती जा रही है। इसी बीच सूडसर गांव से एक और चोरी का मामला सामने आया है, हालांकि इस बार ग्रामीणों की सतर्कता और पुलिस की तत्परता ने एक बड़ी वारदात को होने से पहले ही रोक दिया।

प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, बीती रात अज्ञात चोर ट्रेन से सूडसर स्टेशन पर उतरे और गांव में चोरी की योजना को अंजाम देने की तैयारी में थे। गांव के आसपास उनके संदिग्ध रूप से घूमने की गतिविधि पर कुछ ग्रामीणों की नजर पड़ी। ग्रामीणों को शक हुआ कि गांव में चोरी की वारदात हो सकती है। जैसे ही उन्होंने शोर मचाया, चोर उलटे पांव भागने लगे और अंधेरे का फायदा उठाते हुए रेलवे पटरियों की ओर दौड़ पड़े।

ग्रामीणों द्वारा शोर सुनते ही आसपास के लोग भी बाहर निकल आए, जिससे चोरों की योजना पूरी तरह विफल हो गई। घटना की सूचना तुरंत पुलिस को दी गई। सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंची और संभावित दिशा में भागे चोरों का पीछा शुरू किया। पुलिस को यह भी जानकारी मिली कि चोरों का समूह रेलवे पटरियों की तरफ भागा है। इस पर पुलिस और ग्रामीणों की संयुक्त टीम ने रेलवे लाइन पर कई किलोमीटर तक पीछा किया।

पीछा करने के दौरान पुलिस को एक संदिग्ध व्यक्ति हाथ लगा, जिसे मौके पर ही दबोच लिया गया। फिलहाल पुलिस गिरफ्तार संदिग्ध से पूछताछ कर रही है और उम्मीद जताई जा रही है कि पूछताछ के आधार पर पूरे गिरोह का पर्दाफाश जल्द होगा। पुलिस ने आसपास के क्षेत्रों में भी गश्त बढ़ा दी है और गांव वालों से सतर्क रहने की अपील की है।

ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि बीते कुछ महीनों से आसपास के इलाकों में चोरी की घटनाएं बढ़ी हैं, जिसके कारण रात के समय गांव में अतिरिक्त चौकसी की जा रही है। इस घटना में ग्रामीणों की सूझबूझ और सक्रियता ने बड़ी वारदात को टाल दिया। यदि समय रहते ग्रामीण शोर नहीं मचाते तो चोरी की बड़ी घटना हो सकती थी।

बीकानेर पुलिस ने बताया कि जिले में बढ़ती चोरी की घटनाओं पर कड़ी निगरानी रखी जा रही है। रात के गश्त को और मजबूत किया जा रहा है तथा रेलवे स्टेशनों और गांवों के आसपास अतिरिक्त पुलिस तैनात की जा रही है। पुलिस का कहना है कि गिरफ्तार संदिग्ध से महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी मिलने की संभावना है, जिससे चोर गिरोह का नेटवर्क समझने में सहायता मिलेगी।

ग्रामीणों ने पुलिस से मांग की है कि गांव में गश्त और बढ़ाई जाए ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाएं न हों। इस घटना ने गांव वालों को सतर्क तो किया है लेकिन साथ ही यह संदेश भी दिया है कि सामूहिक सतर्कता और पुलिस की त्वरित कार्रवाई से अपराधों को रोका जा सकता है।
