भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक ब्यूरो ने रविवार देर रात 1:30 बजे एसएमएस हॉस्पिटल में कार्रवाई करते हुए, रिश्वत के बदले अंग प्रत्यारोपण की फर्जी एनओसी देने वाले सहायक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी गौरव सिंह और ईएचसीसी अस्पताल के ऑर्गन ट्रांसप्लांट को-ऑर्डिनेटर अनिल जोशी को पकड़ा। एसीबी ने मौके से 70 हजार रुपए और 3 फर्जी एनओसी पत्र बरामद किए।

एसीबी के एडीजी हेमंत प्रियदर्शी ने बताया कि इस संबंध में एसएमएस अस्पताल के उच्च प्रबंधन के अधिकारी ने अंदेशा जताते हुए सूचना दी कि यहां का कोई अधिकारी अंग प्रत्यारोपण के फर्जी एनओसी सर्टिफिकेट बिना कमेटी की बैठक के जारी कर रहा है, जो यहां की गठित समिति द्वारा अधिकृत नहीं किए गए हैं।

सूचना के बाद, डीआईजी रवि के नेतृत्व में गठित टीम ने गोपनीय तरीके से संदिग्ध अधिकारी की पहचान की और पीछा शुरू किया। इस दौरान, रविवार रात को एसएमएस के सहायक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी गौरव सिंह और ईएचसीसी अस्पताल के ऑर्गन ट्रांसप्लांट को-ऑर्डिनेटर अनिल जोशी को लेन-देन करते समय रंगे हाथों से पकड़ लिया गया। जांच में सामने आया कि सहायक प्रशासनिक अधिकारी गौरव सिंह ने रिश्वत के बदले पिछले कई महीनों से कमेटी के सदस्यों के फर्जी हस्ताक्षर करते हुए फर्जी एनओसी बनाकर कई अस्पतालों को दे चुका था।
