सड़क हादसों और मौतों में कमी लाने के लिए सरकार खतरनाक और समय से बाहर हो चुके वाहनों को सड़कों से हटाने का काम कर रही है। 15 साल पुराने वाहनों का रजिस्ट्रेशन रिन्यूअल नहीं हुआ है, ऐसे वाहनों के रजिस्ट्रेशन को रद्द करने की पूरी तैयारी की गई है। परिवहन विभाग ने इसके लिए 15 साल पुराने वाहनों की सूची तैयार की है। इनमें परिवहन निगमों और सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के उद्यमों में लगे वाहन भी शामिल हैं। सभी सरकारी विभागों को 15 साल पुराने वाहनों की सूची प्रस्तुत करने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं।
