परिवादी शंकरलाल ने पुलिस में दर्ज रिपोर्ट में बताया कि सुबह उसकी माता, भतीजा ओमप्रकाश और चार वर्षीय पुत्री ज्योति लोहावट जाने के लिए रणजीतपुरा-रावला रोड पर बस का इंतजार कर रहे थे। सड़क के किनारे खड़े रहने के बावजूद अचानक रावला की ओर से एक सफेद रंग की स्विफ्ट कार तेज रफ्तार और लापरवाही से आते हुए आई और सीधा बच्ची को जोरदार टक्कर मार दी।

टक्कर इतनी तेज थी कि ज्योति सड़क पर दूर जाकर गिरी और गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गई। वहीं कार असंतुलित होकर कच्ची जमीन में जाकर रुक गई। घटना के तुरंत बाद परिजन घायल बच्ची को उपचार के लिए गौड़ू अस्पताल लेकर पहुंचे, लेकिन डॉक्टरों ने उसे मृत घोषित कर दिया। हादसे की सूचना मिलते ही पूरे परिवार में मातम छा गया। कुछ ही क्षणों में खुशियों से भरी सुबह एक दर्दनाक हादसे में बदल गई।

स्थानीय लोगों के अनुसार, हादसे के समय कार की गति बेहद तेज थी और चालक ने वाहन पर नियंत्रण खो दिया था। प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों ने बताया कि कार चालक घटना के बाद मौके से फरार हो गया। पुलिस अब कार और चालक की तलाश में जुट गई है।

रणजीतपुरा थाना पुलिस ने परिजनों की रिपोर्ट के आधार पर अज्ञात स्विफ्ट कार चालक के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है। पुलिस आसपास के सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाल रही है ताकि वाहन की पहचान की जा सके। इसके अलावा पुलिस ने दुर्घटना स्थल का निरीक्षण कर सबूत इकट्ठे किए हैं।

इस दुर्घटना ने एक बार फिर सड़क सुरक्षा को लेकर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन से मांग की है कि इस मार्ग पर वाहनों की तेज रफ्तार को नियंत्रित करने के लिए स्पीड ब्रेकर और चेतावनी बोर्ड लगाए जाएं। यह मार्ग पहले भी कई दुर्घटनाओं का साक्षी रह चुका है।

चार वर्षीय ज्योति की मौत से पूरे इलाके में गहरा शोक है। परिवार ने मीडिया से बातचीत में कहा कि उनकी लाड़ली ने किसी का क्या बिगाड़ा था। दुर्घटना ने पूरे परिवार को तोड़ कर रख दिया है।

Complainant Shankarlal stated in the police report that his mother, nephew Omprakash, and four-year-old daughter Jyoti were waiting for a bus on the Ranjitpura-Rawala Road to Lohawat. Despite their presence on the roadside, a white Swift car suddenly approached from the Rawla side at high speed and carelessly, hitting the girl directly.

The impact was so severe that Jyoti was thrown off the road and seriously injured. The car lost control and came to a halt on the unpaved ground. Immediately after the incident, the family rushed the injured girl to Gaudu Hospital for treatment, but doctors declared her dead.
