पीड़ित ने अपने पर्चा बयान में बताया कि 4 नवंबर 2025 की रात करीब 8 बजे वह अपने घर से बाहर पेशाब करने के लिए निकला था। जैसे ही वह घर से बाहर पहुंचा, सामने भगवानदास पुत्र केसुराम वाल्मिकी खड़ा था। बताया जा रहा है कि उसके हाथ में लाठी थी। अचानक भगवानदास ने महेन्द्र कुमार पर वार कर दिया। लाठी का प्रहार सीधे हाथ पर लगा, जिससे उसका हाथ टूट गया और वह दर्द से वहीं गिर गया।

घटना के बाद परिजन और आसपास के लोग मौके पर पहुंचे और घायल को अस्पताल ले जाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने हाथ में फ्रैक्चर की पुष्टि की। इसके बाद पीड़ित ने गंगाशहर थाने में रिपोर्ट दी। पुलिस ने IPC की संबंधित धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज कर लिया है।
