बीकानेर। शहर में बच्चों की सुरक्षा को लेकर एक बार फिर से स्कूल प्रशासन की लापरवाही सामने आई है। पवनपुरी मार्केट के पास सोमवार सुबह सोफिया स्कूल की एक वैन से चलते हुए 4 से 5 बच्चे अचानक गिर गए। यह हादसा उस समय हुआ जब वैन का पिछला दरवाजा खुला हुआ था और ड्राइवर लापरवाही से गाड़ी चला रहा था।

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, हादसे के वक्त सड़क पर अफरा-तफरी मच गई। स्थानीय लोगों ने तत्काल मौके पर पहुंचकर बच्चों को सड़क से उठाया और पास के सुरक्षित स्थान पर ले गए। सौभाग्य से बच्चों को गंभीर चोट नहीं आई, लेकिन यह हादसा किसी बड़ी त्रासदी में बदल सकता था।

मौके पर मौजूद लोगों ने बताया कि वैन का ड्राइवर जय कुमार नाम का व्यक्ति था, जो हादसे के बाद तुरंत मौके से फरार हो गया। बताया जा रहा है कि यह वैन पूरी तरह से खटारा स्थिति में थी और उसके पास न तो फिटनेस सर्टिफिकेट था और न ही आवश्यक कागज़ात।

स्थानीय नागरिकों ने बताया कि उन्होंने स्कूल प्रशासन से कई बार शिकायत की थी कि वैन की हालत खराब है और बच्चों की सुरक्षा को खतरा है, लेकिन स्कूल की ओर से कोई ठोस कदम नहीं उठाया गया। हादसे के बाद जब परिजनों को फोन किया गया तो वे तुरंत मौके पर पहुंचे और बच्चों को घर ले गए।

स्कूल प्रशासन से संपर्क करने की कोशिश की गई, लेकिन फोन नहीं उठाया गया। इस घटना के बाद अभिभावकों में भारी रोष है। लोगों ने प्रशासन और शिक्षा विभाग से मांग की है कि ऐसे वाहनों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की जाए जो बिना सुरक्षा मानकों के बच्चों को लेकर सड़कों पर दौड़ रहे हैं।

स्थानीय निवासियों ने कहा कि यदि वैन के दरवाजे बंद होते या सुरक्षा इंतज़ाम पुख्ता होते तो यह हादसा टल सकता था। फिलहाल, पुलिस को घटना की सूचना दे दी गई है, और मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
