छतरगढ़ में स्थित बायोमास प्लांट में बीती रात एक भीषण आगजनी की घटना सामने आई है। देर रात अचानक प्लांट परिसर से उठी आग की लपटें दूर-दूर तक दिखाई दीं, जिसके बाद इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। बताया जा रहा है कि प्लांट में हजारों क्विंटल पराली का विशाल स्टॉक रखा हुआ था, जिसमें आग लगते ही लपटों ने विकराल रूप ले लिया। आग के कारणों का अभी तक खुलासा नहीं हो सका है, लेकिन यह पिछले 10 दिनों में दूसरी बड़ी आगजनी की घटना है, जिसने स्थानीय लोगों और प्रशासन की चिंता बढ़ा दी है।

सूत्रों के अनुसार, मंगलवार देर रात प्लांट के पास से गुजर रहे लोगों ने आग की तेज लपटें देखीं। देखते ही देखते वहां भारी भीड़ जमा हो गई। पराली अत्यधिक ज्वलनशील होने के कारण आग कुछ ही मिनटों में बड़े हिस्से में फैल गई। प्रारंभिक जानकारी के अनुसार, किसी भी प्रकार की जनहानि नहीं हुई है, लेकिन प्लांट में रखा पराली का स्टॉक पूरी तरह जलकर राख हो गया है। पराली के ढेर में लगी आग ने धुएं के विशाल गुबार तैयार कर दिए, जो रातभर आसमान में दिखाई देते रहे।

आग की सूचना मिलते ही छतरगढ़ पुलिस मौके पर पहुंच गई और हालात का जायज़ा लिया। फायर ब्रिगेड टीम को भी तुरंत बुलाया गया, लेकिन पराली में लगी आग पर काबू पाना काफी मुश्किल साबित हुआ। पराली को बुझाने में अधिक समय लगता है क्योंकि उसकी सतह अत्यधिक सूखी और ज्वलनशील होती है, जिससे आग बार-बार भड़क उठती है। फिलहाल पुलिस और स्थानीय प्रशासन स्थिति पर नजर बनाए हुए है।

गौरतलब है कि पिछले साल भी इसी बायोमास प्लांट में भीषण आग लगी थी जिसमें बड़ा आर्थिक नुकसान हुआ था। लगातार दो वर्षों और 10 दिनों के भीतर दो आगजनी की घटनाओं ने प्लांट की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था पर भी गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इतने बड़े स्तर पर पराली को खुले रूप में स्टोर करना जोखिमपूर्ण है और प्लांट प्रबंधन को आग नियंत्रण के बेहतर इंतजाम करने चाहिए।

पिछली आगजनी की घटना के बाद भी सुरक्षा संबंधी चेतावनियाँ दी गई थीं, लेकिन इतने बड़े प्लांट में पर्याप्त फायर सेफ्टी उपकरण न होने की आशंका जताई जा रही है। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि आग बुझने के बाद विस्तृत जांच की जाएगी, जिससे आग लगने के कारणों का पता लगाया जा सके। यह भी देखा जाएगा कि कहीं लापरवाही या सुरक्षा मानकों की अनदेखी तो इस हादसे का कारण नहीं बनी।

फिलहाल पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है। क्षेत्र में भय और चिंता का माहौल है क्योंकि बार-बार ऐसी आगजनी की घटनाएं बड़े हादसों को न्योता दे सकती हैं। प्रशासन ने प्लांट प्रबंधन को सख्त निर्देश दिए हैं कि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं की पुनरावृत्ति रोकने के लिए सभी आवश्यक कदम तुरंत उठाए जाएं।
