श्रीडूंगरगढ़, बीकानेर। इंसानियत को झकझोर देने वाली घटना बीकानेर जिले के श्रीडूंगरगढ़ कस्बे के आडसर बास क्षेत्र से सामने आई है, जहां 85 वर्षीय वृद्धा रतनी देवी की तीन दिन पुरानी लाश उनके घर से मिली। मंगलवार सुबह जब इलाके में सड़ी-गली दुर्गंध फैलने लगी तो पड़ोसियों ने दरवाजा खोला और घर के भीतर मौत का खौफनाक मंजर देखा।

बताया जा रहा है कि वृद्धा अकेली रहती थीं और उन्हें अंतिम बार शनिवार को देखा गया था। उसी रात आए आंधी-तूफान के दौरान उनकी मृत्यु हो गई, और शरीर पर उड़ती मिट्टी जम गई थी।

जब दुर्गंध मोहल्ले में फैलने लगी, तब जाकर आस-पड़ोस को शक हुआ। दरवाजा खोलने पर शव की स्थिति देखकर सभी सन्न रह गए।

सूचना मिलते ही सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता मौके पर पहुंचे और अंतिम क्रियाकर्म की व्यवस्था में जुट गए। वृद्धा की इकलौती पुत्री कालूबास में रहती है और गंभीर रूप से अस्वस्थ है। काफी प्रयासों के बाद उन्हें टैक्सी में बैठाकर अंतिम दर्शन के लिए लाया गया।

बेटी की ओर से पोस्टमार्टम न करवाने का आग्रह पुलिस ने स्वीकार कर लिया, क्योंकि कोई संदिग्ध परिस्थिति नहीं पाई गई। अब अंतिम संस्कार सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता करेंगे।

यह घटना सिर्फ एक महिला की दर्दनाक मृत्यु नहीं, बल्कि आधुनिक समाज में बुजुर्गों की उपेक्षा की पीड़ा भी उजागर करती है।
