सरकार और प्रशासन भले ही दहेज प्रथा पर रोक की बात करते हो। लेकिन राजस्थान में आज भी यह कुप्रथा कई इलाकों में चल रही है। इतना ही नहीं इसकी वजह से कई शादियां भी एनवक्त पर टूट जाती है। ऐसा ही मामला राजस्थान के प्रतापगढ़ जिले से सामने आया है।

यहां पर शादी से एक दिन पहले दूल्हे ने लड़की वालों के घर फोन और कहा कि 3 लाख रुपए भेजो तभी बारात लेकर आऊंगा। परिवार ने पुलिस में भी मामला दर्ज करवाया है। पुलिस को दी शिकायत के अनुसार कोतवाली क्षेत्र में रहने वाली महिला शिवकुमारी ने पुलिस में रिपोर्ट देकर बताया है कि उनकी बेटी की शादी फतनपुरा के रहने वाले रामप्यारे के बेटे के साथ आज गुरुवार (20 जून) को होनी थी।

लड़की के घर वाले परेशान होकर पुलिस को दी खबर
बुधवार शाम को जब लड़की का परिवार शादी के कार्यक्रमों में लगा था तब दूल्हे ने फोन करके कहा कि पैसे भेजने पर ही वह शादी करेगा। यह बात सुनकर एक बार तो लड़की के घर वाले परेशान हो उठे क्योंकि उन्होंने शादी की पूरी तैयारी कर ली केवल बारात ही आना बाकी थी। उन्होंने लड़के और उसके परिवार को काफी समझाया लेकिन वह नहीं माने। इसके बाद परिवार ने पुलिस में शिकायत दी है। हालांकि अब पुलिस मामले की जांच करेगी। एक्सपर्ट्स की मानें तो प्रतापगढ़,बांसवाड़ा इलाकों में आज भी आदिवासी समाज रहता है। इनमें दहेज सहित अन्य कुप्रथाएं आज भी प्रचलन में है। हालांकि धीरे-धीरे अब समाज इसे दूर भी होता जा रहा है लेकिन इसे पूरी तरह से खत्म होने में अभी काफी समय लगेंगे।
