खाजूवाला क्षेत्र में 40 केवाईडी के मोघा संशोधन को लेकर गुरुवार को बड़ा विवाद खड़ा हो गया। सिंचाई विभाग की ओर से स्वीकृत पी-फार्म के आधार पर संशोधन कार्य शुरू किया गया, लेकिन मौके पर मौजूद किसानों ने इस कार्रवाई का विरोध किया। इस दौरान राजकार्य में बाधा डालने और पुलिस वाहन पर पथराव करने की घटना सामने आई, जिसके बाद 9 नामजद तथा 10–12 अज्ञात लोगों पर मामला दर्ज किया गया है। पुलिस ने दो आरोपितों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है।

सिंचाई विभाग द्वारा प्रस्तुत रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, जिला कलक्टर की स्वीकृति और मुख्य अभियंता जल संसाधन उत्तर हनुमानगढ़ के आदेशानुसार गठित कमेटी गुरुवार को मौके पर पहुंची। कमेटी में सहायक अभियंता सुभाषचंद्र बाना, रमेश चंद्र गुर्जर, कनिष्ठ अभियंता दिनेश कुमार मीणा तथा मौके के मजिस्ट्रेट राजकुमारी तहसीलदार शामिल थे। टीम खोयावाली वितरिका की आरडी 143.830 पर स्थित 40 केवाईडी आउटलेट को संशोधित करने के लिए पहुंची थी।

रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, इस दौरान विभिन्न चकों के किसान — रामरतन, रामचंद्र बिश्नोई, पवन लेघा, सुधीर, हजारीनाथ, हेतराम, मांगीलाल, दौलतराम, रामचंद्र सहित 10–12 अन्य लोग — मौके पर इकठ्ठा हुए और कहा कि वे इस मोघे को संशोधित नहीं होने देंगे। अधिकारियों ने उन्हें बताया कि यह कार्य राज्य सरकार के आदेशानुसार किया जा रहा है और इसकी अनुपालना अनिवार्य है।

विवाद बढ़ने पर कुछ किसानों ने आवेश में आकर पुलिस वाहन पर पत्थर फेंक दिए। पथराव से वाहन के शीशे टूट गए और अन्य नुकसान भी हुआ। इसे राजकार्य में बाधा और सरकारी संपत्ति को नुकसान पहुंचाने की गंभीर घटना माना गया।

घटना की सूचना पर पुलिस ने तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए रामरतन पुत्र रामचंद्र को राजकार्य में बाधा और पथराव करने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया। वहीं हजारीनाथ को शांतिभंग के आरोप में हिरासत में लिया गया। पुलिस के अनुसार, बाकी आरोपितों की पहचान की जा रही है और जल्द ही अन्य गिरफ्तारी भी हो सकती हैं।

सिंचाई विभाग का कहना है कि मोघा संशोधन पूरी तरह स्वीकृत योजनाओं और तकनीकी आवश्यकता के आधार पर किया जा रहा था। विरोध और पथराव ने सरकारी कार्य में गंभीर व्यवधान उत्पन्न किया। पुलिस अब पूरे मामले की जांच में जुटी है।

यह मामला खाजूवाला क्षेत्र में सिंचाई व्यवस्था से जुड़े विवादों और किसानों की नाराजगी को भी उजागर करता है। विभागीय अधिकारी आगे की कार्रवाई को लेकर उच्चाधिकारियों से परामर्श कर रहे हैं।

Uproar during Mogha amendment in Khajuwala: Case filed against 9 named, 10-12 unidentified persons for obstructing government work

A major controversy erupted on Thursday over the 40-kyd Mogha water treatment plant in the Khajuwala area. The treatment plant was initiated based on the P-form approved by the Irrigation Department, but farmers present at the site protested. During the investigation, incidents of obstruction of government work and stone pelting on a police vehicle occurred, following which a case has been registered against nine named and 10-12 unidentified individuals. Police have arrested two of the accused.

According to a report submitted by the Irrigation Department, a committee formed with the approval of the District Collector and the order of the Chief Engineer, Water Resources, North Hanumangarh, arrived at the site on Thursday. The committee included Assistant Engineers Subhash Chandra Bana and Ramesh Chandra Gurjar, Junior Engineer Dinesh Kumar Meena, and on-site Magistrate Rajkumari Tehsildar. The team had arrived to carry out the treatment at the 40-kyd outlet located at RD 143.830 of the Khoyawali distributary.

According to reports, during this time, farmers from various areas—Ramratan, Ramchandra Bishnoi, Pawan Legha, Sudhir, Hazarinath, Hetram, Mangilal, Daulatram, Ramchandra, and 10-12 others—gathered at the scene and declared they would not allow the Mogha to be modified. Officials informed them that this work was being carried out in accordance with state government orders and that compliance was mandatory.

As the dispute escalated, some farmers became agitated and threw stones at a police vehicle. The stone pelting shattered the vehicle's windows and caused other damage. This was considered a serious incident of obstruction of government work and damage to government property.

Reacting to the incident, police immediately arrested Ramratan, son of Ramchandra, on charges of obstruction of government work and stone pelting. Hazarinath was detained on charges of disturbing the peace. According to police, the remaining accused are being identified, and more arrests may be made soon.

The Irrigation Department maintains that the Mogha Revision was being carried out in accordance with approved plans and technical requirements. The protests and stone-pelting caused serious disruption to government work. Police are now investigating the matter.

This incident also highlights the ongoing disputes and farmer discontent surrounding the irrigation system in the Khajuwala area. Department officials are consulting with higher authorities regarding further action.
