Modi Cabinet 2024: लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 में जीत दर्ज करने के बाद नरेंद्र मोदी ने लगातार तीसरी बार प्रधानमंत्री पद की शपथ ले ली. पीएम मोदी के साथ 30 कैबिनेट, 5 राज्‍यमंत्री (स्‍वतंत्र प्रभार) और 36 राज्‍यमंत्री समेत कुल 71 मंत्रियों ने शपथ ली है. इस बार राजस्थान से 4 लोगों को मोदी सरकार में मंत्री बनाया गया है. जोधपुर से भाजपा सांसद गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत लगातार तीसरी बार नरेंद्र मोदी की टीम (PM Modi Cabinet 2024) का हिस्सा बने हैं.

राजस्थान की जोधपुर लोकसभा सीट पर कांग्रेस प्रत्याशी करण सिंह उचियारदा को एक लाख से अधिक वोटों से हराकर शेखावत (Gajendra Singh Shekhawat) ने इस बार जीत की हैट्रिक लगाई. गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत पीएम मोदी के इतने खास कैसे हो गए कि उन्होंने भरोसा करते हुए लगातार तीसरी बार अपनी टीम (Modi Cabinet 3.0) का हिस्सा बनाया है.  

1992 में बने छात्र संघ अध्यक्ष
गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत का जन्म जैसलमेर में 1967 में राजपूत परिवार में हुआ था. उन्होंने जय नारायण व्यास विश्वविद्यालय से कला में स्नातकोत्तर और दर्शनशास्त्र में स्नातकोत्तर की डिग्री हासिल की. शेखावत ने अपने राजनीतिक जीवन की शुरुआत छात्र राजनीति से की थी. शेखावत आरएसएस के करीबी हैं. 1992 में उन्होंने रिकॉर्ड वोटों से जय नारायण व्यास विश्वविद्यालय में छात्र संघ अध्यक्ष का चुनाव जीता. 

2019 में अशोक गहलोत के बेटे को हराया
2014 में गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने पहली बार लोकसभा चुनाव लड़ा और जीत दर्ज की. सांसद बनने के बाद 2017 में गजेंद्र सिंह को मोदी सरकार में कृषि राज्य मंत्री की जिम्मेदारी दी गई थी. इसके बाद 2019 में शेखावत का उस समय कद बढ़ा, जब 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव में उन्होंने अशोक गहलोत (Ashok Gehlot) के बेटे वैभव गहलोत को रिकॉर्ड वोटों से हराया.

ध्यान देने वाली बात है कि जिस समय गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने अशोक गहलोत के बेटे को चुनाव में मात दी थी, उस समय राजस्थान में कांग्रेस की सरकार थी और अशोक गहलोत मुख्यमंत्री थे. वैभव गहलोत को जिताने के लिए पूरी सरकार और कांग्रेस पार्टी लगी हुई थी. हालांकि, गजेंद्र शेखावत ने वैभव के खिलाफ जीत दर्ज की. इसका इनाम भी उन्हें मिला और मोदी सरकार के दूसरे कार्यकाल में जल शक्ति मंत्री बनाया गया. 

2024 में लगाई जीत की हैट्रिक
2024 के चुनाव में गजेंद्र शेखावत को एक बार फिर से राजस्थान की जोधपुर लोकसभा सीट से टिकट दिया गया. इस बार भी उन्होंने बड़े अंतर से जीत दर्ज की. इसी अच्छे प्रदर्शन की वजह से शेखावत का लगातार कद बढ़ता गया और लगातार तीसरे कार्यकाल में उन्हें नरेंद्र मोदी की टीम का हिस्सा बनाया गया है. जोधपुर से सांसद गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने रविवार को कैबिनेट मिनिस्टर पद की शपथ ली है.

Became student union president in 1992
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was born in Jaisalmer in 1967 in a Rajput family. He obtained a Master's degree in Arts and a Master's degree in Philosophy from Jai Narayan Vyas University. Shekhawat started his political career with student politics. Shekhawat is close to the RSS. In 1992, he won the student union president election at Jai Narayan Vyas University with record votes.

Defeated Ashok Gehlot's son in 2019
In 2014, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat contested the Lok Sabha elections for the first time and won. After becoming an MP, in 2017, Gajendra Singh was given the responsibility of Minister of State for Agriculture in the Modi government. After this, Shekhawat's stature increased in 2019, when he defeated Ashok Gehlot's son Vaibhav Gehlot with record votes in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

It is worth noting that when Gajendra Singh Shekhawat defeated Ashok Gehlot's son in the election, there was a Congress government in Rajasthan and Ashok Gehlot was the Chief Minister. The entire government and the Congress party were engaged in making Vaibhav Gehlot win. However, Gajendra Shekhawat won against Vaibhav. He also got the reward for this and was made the Jal Shakti Minister in the second term of the Modi government.

Hat-trick of victory in 2024

In the 2024 elections, Gajendra Shekhawat was once again given a ticket from Jodhpur Lok Sabha seat in Rajasthan. This time too he won by a big margin. Due to this good performance, Shekhawat's stature continued to grow and he has been made a part of Narendra Modi's team for the third consecutive term. Jodhpur MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat took oath as Cabinet Minister on Sunday.
