गली नंबर 2, तिलकनगर निवासी सोहनसिंह ने पुलिस में रिपोर्ट दर्ज करवाते हुए बताया कि मृतका उसकी भाभी बूलबूल कंवर है, जिसकी शादी 9 फरवरी 2007 को हुई थी। परिजनों के अनुसार, बूलबूल कंवर पिछले कुछ समय से मानसिक तनाव और बीमारी से जूझ रही थी। घरवालों का कहना है कि वह कई बार चिंता और अवसाद जैसी समस्याओं से परेशान रहती थी, जिसकी वजह से उसके व्यवहार में भी बदलाव देखने को मिल रहा था।

13 नवंबर की रात जब सभी लोग सो रहे थे, तभी करीब 2 बजे के आसपास बूलबूल कंवर ने कमरे में फांसी का फंदा बनाकर खुद को पंखे से लटका लिया। घटना का पता तब चला जब परिजनों ने उसे कमरे में न पाकर तलाश शुरू की। कमरे का दरवाजा खोलते ही परिवार के सदस्यों के होश उड़ गए।

परिवादी सोहनसिंह ने पुलिस को बताया कि भाभी की मानसिक स्थिति पिछले कुछ महीनों से ठीक नहीं थी और वह अंदर ही अंदर परेशान रहती थी। हालांकि, परिवार के सदस्यों ने उसकी देखभाल में कोई कमी नहीं रखी, लेकिन हालात अचानक इतनी गंभीर हो जाएंगे, किसी को अंदेशा नहीं था।

घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही जेएनवीसी थाना पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची। पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा और घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण किया। शुरुआती जांच में इसे आत्महत्या का मामला माना जा रहा है, लेकिन पुलिस ने सभी पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।

पुलिस अधिकारियों का कहना है कि पोस्टमार्टम रिपोर्ट आने के बाद आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी। इसके अलावा मृतका के परिजनों के बयान भी लिए जा रहे हैं, जिससे पता लगाया जा सके कि मानसिक तनाव के पीछे कारण क्या थे और क्या कोई अन्य वजह भी थी जिसने उसे यह कदम उठाने पर मजबूर किया।

On the night of November 13th, while everyone was asleep, Boolbool Kanwar made a noose in her room and hanged herself from the ceiling fan around 2 a.m. The incident came to light when the family members found her missing from her room and began searching for her.
