बीकानेर:-चार्जिंग करते समय ई-बाइक में लगी आग,छोटी बच्ची का पैर झुलसा, कंपनी पर जुर्माना

बीकानेर के जिला उपभोक्ता आयोग ने एक मामले में ई-बाइक कंपनी को दोषी माना है, जब उसकी बाइक में स्पार्किंग के बाद चार्ज करते समय आग लग गई। आयोग ने कंपनी को 84,950 रुपए का जुर्माना देने के आदेश दिए हैं। 

मामलेदार अब्बास अली ने 62,000 रुपए में रॉयल मोटर्स से ई-बाइक खरीदी थी। कुछ समय बाद उसकी बाइक में बैटरी में स्पार्किंग की समस्या उत्पन्न हो गई, और 7 महीने बाद बाइक चार्ज करते समय पूरी तरह जल गई। इस हादसे में उसके परिवादी की 3 साल की भतीजी के पैर भी जल गए। 

परिवादी ने कंपनी से नई बाइक मांगी, लेकिन कंपनी ने इसे मना कर दिया। इसके बाद परिवादी ने उपभोक्ता न्यायालय में मामला दायर किया, जिसमें उन्होंने क्षतिपूर्ति की मांग की, जिसमें आर्थिक, शारीरिक, और मानसिक नुकसान की भी बात की गई। आयोग ने कंपनी की ओर से 84,950 रुपए की अदायगी के आदेश जारी किए हैं। 

इस निर्णय के अनुसार, रॉयल मोटर्स और ईगलन पॉवर ई-बाइक कंपनियों को एक माह के भीतर जानकारी देने का आदेश दिया गया है कि किस प्रकार की ई-बाइक दी जाए, क्या नया या त्रुटिहीन बाइक दी जाए, और कितना मुआवजा दिया जाए। इसके अलावा, परिवादी को 2950 रुपए की सर्वे रिपोर्ट फीस, 5000 रुपए की चिकित्सा खर्च, 10,000 रुपए की क्षतिपूर्ति के लिए, 5000 रुपए के परिवाद व्यय के आदेश भी जारी किए गए हैं। यह निर्णय आयोग के अध्यक्ष दीनदयाल प्रजापत और सदस्य पुखराज जोशी ने सुनाया है।

Bikaner: E-bike caught fire while charging, little girl's leg burnt, company fined

The District Consumer Commission of Bikaner has held an e-bike company guilty in a case when its bike caught fire while charging after sparking. The Commission has ordered the company to pay a fine of Rs 84,950.

Case man Abbas Ali had purchased the e-bike from Royal Motors for Rs 62,000. After some time, his bike developed a sparking problem in the battery, and after 7 months the bike completely burnt up while charging. In this accident, the legs of the complainant's 3 year old niece were also burnt.

The complainant asked for a new bike from the company, but the company refused it. The complainant then filed a case in the consumer court, demanding compensation, including financial, physical, and mental loss. The Commission has issued orders for payment of Rs 84,950 on behalf of the company.

According to this decision, Royal Motors and Eaglen Power e-bike companies have been ordered to provide information within a month as to what type of e-bike to be given, whether a new or flawless bike should be given, and how much compensation should be given. Apart from this, orders have also been issued to the complainant for survey report fee of Rs 2950, medical expenses of Rs 5000, compensation of Rs 10,000 and complaint expenses of Rs 5000. This decision has been given by Commission Chairman Deendayal Prajapat and member Pukhraj Joshi.
