शनिवार सुबह बरेली जंक्शन पर उस समय हड़कंप मच गया, जब प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर-1 पर खड़ी मालगाड़ी के आखिरी डिब्बे से अचानक धुआं उठने लगा। डिब्बे से उठते धुएं को पहले यात्रियों ने देखा और तुरंत इसकी जानकारी रेलवे कर्मचारियों को दी। देखते ही देखते धुआं इतना घना हो गया कि प्लेटफॉर्म पर मौजूद यात्रियों में दहशत का माहौल बन गया। भीड़ तत्काल सुरक्षित स्थानों की ओर हटने लगी।

स्थिति की गंभीरता को देखते हुए रेलवे कर्मियों ने बिना समय गंवाए कंट्रोल रूम को सूचना दी। कुछ ही मिनटों में रेलवे की तकनीकी टीम, आरपीएफ और अन्य सुरक्षा कर्मचारी मौके पर पहुंच गए। टीमों ने तत्परता दिखाते हुए प्रभावित डिब्बे को ट्रेन से अलग कर दिया और आग बुझाने का कार्य शुरू कर दिया। समय रहते की गई इस कार्रवाई से एक संभावित बड़ा हादसा टल गया।

सूत्रों के अनुसार सुबह करीब 7 बजे मालगाड़ी प्लेटफॉर्म पर स्थिर अवस्था में खड़ी थी। उसी दौरान यात्रियों ने डिब्बे से धुआं उठते देखा। जांच के दौरान पाया गया कि डिब्बा अंदर से गर्म हो चुका था और धीरे-धीरे आग की स्थिति बन रही थी। रेलवे तकनीकी टीम ने त्वरित निर्णय लेते हुए डिब्बे को काटकर मुख्य ट्रेन से अलग किया और स्थिति पर नियंत्रण पाया।

रेलवे अधिकारियों ने बताया कि फिलहाल आग लगने के कारणों का स्पष्ट पता नहीं चल पाया है। प्राथमिक जांच में शॉर्ट सर्किट, किसी ज्वलनशील पदार्थ की मौजूदगी या तकनीकी गड़बड़ी जैसी संभावनाओं की जांच की जा रही है। वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने घटना की विस्तृत जांच के आदेश दे दिए हैं और संबंधित डिब्बे को तकनीकी विश्लेषण के लिए सुरक्षित कर दिया गया है।

घटना के दौरान प्लेटफॉर्म पर मौजूद यात्रियों में भय का माहौल था, लेकिन रेलवे कर्मचारियों और आरपीएफ की तत्परता ने स्थिति को कुछ ही समय में सामान्य कर दिया। यात्रियों ने राहत की सांस ली और रेलवे स्टाफ की तेजी तथा सूझबूझ की सराहना की।

रेलवे अधिकारियों का कहना है कि सुरक्षा सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है और इस तरह की घटनाओं में एक सेकंड की देरी भी खतरनाक हो सकती है। इसलिए टीमों ने तुरंत समन्वय बनाकर रिस्पॉन्स किया और एक बड़ी दुर्घटना को टाल दिया।

रेलवे की ओर से घटना की विस्तृत रिपोर्ट तैयार की जा रही है। इसके साथ ही मालगाड़ी के अन्य डिब्बों की भी तकनीकी जांच कराई जा रही है, ताकि भविष्य में किसी प्रकार की दुर्घटना की संभावना को पूरी तरह समाप्त किया जा सके।

Their prompt action detached the affected coach from the train and began extinguishing the fire. This timely action averted a potential major accident.

According to sources, the freight train was stationary on the platform at around 7 a.m. when passengers noticed smoke rising from the coach. Upon inspection, it was found that the coach had overheated from the inside and was slowly catching fire. The railway technical team acted quickly, cutting the coach off from the main train, and brought the situation under control.

Railway officials stated that the exact cause of the fire is currently unknown. Passengers breathed a sigh of relief and praised the railway staff's promptness and presence of mind.

The railway is preparing a detailed report on the incident. Additionally, technical inspections of other coaches of the freight train are also being conducted to completely eliminate the possibility of future accidents.
