पंजाब की तर्ज पर अगर पेट्रोल-डीजल पर वैट लागू हुआ तो बीकानेर की जनता को पेट्रोल करीब 100 रुपए और डीजल 89 रुपए ली. में मिलने लगेगा। अभी पेट्रोल 111 और डीजल करीब 97 प्रति रुपए ली. मिल रहा है। यह रेट हरियाणा, पंजाब, दिल्ली तथा गुजरात सहित कई राज्यों की तुलना में सबसे अधिक है।

वैट विसंगति को दूर करने की मांग को लेकर पेट्रोलियम एसोसिएशन की मंगलवार को सरकार के साथ वार्ता सफल होती है तो बीकानेर सहित प्रदेश की जनता को सबसे बड़ी राहत मिलेगी। एसोसिएशन की उम्मीदों पर पानी फिरा तो बुधवार से प्रदेश के पेट्रोल पंप संचालक अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर चले जाएंगे।

राजस्थान पेट्रोलियम एसोसिएशन (आरपीडीए) के पदाधिकारियों की मानें तो राजस्थान में पेट्रोल पर 31.04 और डीजल पर 19.30 प्रतिशत वैट लागू है, जो सीमावर्ती राज्यों की तुलना में सबसे अधिक है। पब्लिक को रोज लग रही 77 लाख की चपत पंजाब के मुकाबले पेट्रोल-डीजल पर अधिक वैट चुकाने के कारण बीकानेर की पब्लिक को रोजाना करीब 77 लाख रुपए अधिक चुकाने पड़ रहे हैं।

एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष सुरपत सिंह राजवी ने बताया कि सरकार ने अगर प्रदेश की जनता और पेट्रोल पंप संचालकों की उम्मीदों पर पानी फेरा तो बुधवार से जिले के 250 पेट्रोल पंप संचालक अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर चले जाएंगे।

Due to paying more VAT on petrol and diesel compared to Punjab, the public of Bikaner has to pay about Rs 77 lakh more every day.

Association President Surpat Singh Rajvi said that if the government dashes the expectations of the people of the state and the petrol pump operators, then 250 petrol pump operators of the district will go on indefinite strike from Wednesday.
