श्रीगंगानगर की श्रीकरणपुर तहसील के गांव पांचओ में बुधवार शाम एक सीनियर एडवोकेट ने खुद को गोली मार ली। उसने अपने घर में कुर्सी पर बैठकर छाती पर गोली मारी। परिजनों को मौके से एक सुसाइड नोट भी मिला है। तहसीलदार और एक अन्य व्यक्ति को सुसाइड के लिए जिम्मेदार ठहराया गया है। ऐसे में माना जा रहा है कि सीनियर एडवोकेट कुछ दिन पहले अपने काम के लिए तहसीलदार के पास गए थे। काम नहीं होने से परेशान होकर उन्होंने यह कदम उठाया।
एडवोकेट सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह (66) ने पिछले 40 साल तक श्रीकरणपुर इलाके में वकालत की थी। वे श्रीकरणपुर के एडीजे कोर्ट में दो बार एपीपी भी रह चुके थे। बुधवार शाम सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह के पड़ोस में सुखमणी साहिब का पाठ था। परिवार के लोग वहां गए थे। इस दौरान वकील सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह ने कुर्सी पर बैठकर लाइसेंसी बंदूक से खुद को सामने से गोली मार ली। उनकी पत्नी और भाई गांव में ही हैं। बेटा कनाडा रह रहा है।
काम नहीं होने से थे परेशान
जानकारी के अनुसार सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह ने अपने रिश्तेदार के किसी काम के लिए पिछले महीने श्रीकरणपुर तहसील में आवेदन किया था। इस काम में देरी के कारण वे परेशान थे। उनके पास मिले सुसाइड नोट में तहसीलदार और सत्ती नाम के एक व्यक्ति को जिम्मेदार ठहराया गया है। घटना की सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस के उच्च अधिकारी और श्रीगंगानगर बार संघ अध्यक्ष सीताराम बिश्नोई सहित कई लोग मौके पर पहुंचे। देर रात इस मामले में तहसीलदार और सत्ती नाम के एक व्यक्ति के खिलाफ आत्महत्या दुष्प्रेरण का मामला दर्ज किया गया। मामले में तहसीलदार सुभाषचंद्र शर्मा का कहना है कि सुरेंद्रपाल सिंह करीब सवा महीने पहले उनके पास किसी परिचित का कोई काम लेकर आए थे। उसके बाद उनसे मिलना नहीं हुआ। कुछ दिन पहले उनका यह काम कर दिया गया।

During this, lawyer Surendrapal Singh shot himself from the front with a licensed gun while sitting on a chair. His wife and brother are in the village only. Son is living in Canada.

According to the information, Surendrapal Singh had applied for some work of his relative in Srikaranpur tehsil last month. He was upset because of the delay in this work. The Tehsildar and a person named Satti have been held responsible in the suicide note found with them. On getting information about the incident, many people including senior police officers and Sriganganagar Bar Association President Sitaram Bishnoi reached the spot. Late night, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against the Tehsildar and a person named Satti. Tehsildar Subhashchandra Sharma says in the matter that Surendrapal Singh had come to him about a quarter of a month ago with some work from an acquaintance. After that did not meet him. His work was done a few days back.
